Thank you Heidi, he was my rock in an otherwise sometimes difficult childhood. ❤️And I don't think people understand what Veterans or their families endure.

I agree. The sacrifices they make. The suffering... your father was incredible through it all.
Not to defile this comment with LGBTQ but I don't think they see how their one month of pride looks to people who sacrificed their youth and lives for something bigger than them. These prideful people cancel others for disagreeing with their sexual deviance for defiling children with values that aren't serving anyone, hurt them in the end. It isnt healthy or normal to fixate on your sexuality, to chop off body parts because you arent happy with how you were born.
Veterans need and deserve atleast a month and much more than what they receive.
🎯 Exactly how I feel. They give years. Get one day. or two if killed in war. (Memorial Day) The brats give nothing and demand everything. Get a whole month. Twisted AF. Thank you for all your comments. I don't mind this one at all. ❤️💞❤️

I'm not fully blaming LGBTQ for their choices. Propaganda, public schools, hormone disruptors, dysfunctional relationships, broken homes.... it still doesn't mean they should get a month of wallowing in their debasement. At some point everyone needs to acknowledge they have mental disorders requiring therapy or fetishes that need to be kept private like normal people. I dont vocalize my fetishes far and wide, label myself with them and ask others to validate them. ::how embarassing:: not that I have a lot of fetishes. Probably most people wouldn't call them a fetish but it's all private stuff, or atleast it feels like it should be.
I love the way you describe it. I have the same reaction to their attention seeking behavior...like 2 year olds throwing tantrums at everyone! Total exhibitionists. Bizarre.
P.S. Love your name! I lived in France for 3 years as a child and always felt it was my soul's home. When I went around the world for a vacation that lasted 5 months, I got to spend 38 days there again. Love France.
He was very wise about when to go to war, and when not to. If the pols had to be soldiers, as your Dad pointed out, there would be far fewer wars. Indeed. Wonderful tribute to your Dad, Heather.

What a moving tribute to such an amazing man. How truly fortunate you were to have this man as your father...and he taught you well and loved you so beautifully.
I always think about (wonder about) my father on memorial day. He was a pilot, inventor and aeronautical engineer, supposedly brilliant and I was told that I was his pride and joy. But I have few stories to tell, and none that are first hand, since he passed away when I was a year old. You got so lucky. I did hear a story that he took me up in a plane when I was six months old, against my mother's wishes, and the story was that I was ecstatic the whole flight. I have little doubt he is thrilled that I've been flying in the astral ever since.
Your father's heart and spirit are the very best that this world has to offer. His compassion to have saved that family, and putting his own family above any military ambition, and even financial considerations, says it all. He knew he could provide no matter what. His priorities were intact.
He was so wise, and you're right, he would be livid and heartbroken to see that the freedom and liberty that he so valiantly fought for, has been tragically squandered and lost to the dark.
Thank you so much for sharing such an inspirational man with all of us. He is certainly the embodiment of a greatness and a phenomenal father - a hero to us all.
And yes, I'm typing through my tears...such a moving tribute...thank you again for sharing the ACE with us...
Thank you, Pasheen! ❤️ I'm crying now having read your comment. I am so sorry you never got to have your father growing up. They are important, even though not acknowledged enough. I'm sure you made him proud though! He's watching you from the ethers. Again, thank you and I'm glad you enjoyed meeting Dad. He was one of a kind, for sure!
❤️ Thank you Joanie. Yes, I would say that about him too. He had a little card on his desk that said "Always do right. This will gratify some people, and astonish the rest."
Beautifully written, Sis. I remember how we both immediately said “Our Hero”. He was so very humble, I heard more about his bravery from younger men who had served under him on the field, coming to see him years later with hero worship still in their demeanor toward him, than from anything he ever said. And, he and I had so much ice cream together....we spent most of a trek around England and Scotland looking for our next ice cream cart at least twice a day, our biggest interest in the whole trip. It drove Mom nuts. He was so much fun, and such a good man. You captured him perfectly. I love you!

War is a Racket, its planners, plotters, facilitators, financiers and 'order followers' are criminals, it is where the Victors write the history so as to make the Losers crime of War look worse than the Victors crime of War ....when in fact the Victor MUST War MORE (commit MORE Crimes) than the Loser to be victorious.
Many thanks to your dad for his service…..Not enough attention is given to veterans and their service. We should all be grateful for every veteran who has served this country.
Please see John Garfield and Eleanor Parker in Pride Of The Marines if you have never seen it, it’s one of the best movies ever made.
Among the many honors your Dad has earned, you just conferred upon him the most precious honor of all:
