Beautiful. In the age where building was for the soul to be exalted. You were very lucky to experience the church at a young age where you would have felt it more than seeing it.

The Notre Dame tower falling was predicted at the very end of the short (strange) animated film from 2012 called “I, pet goat 2”. You can search it on youtube. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6n_xCI-peq0

Also Will did an updated video on it, you can see the similarity of the Notre Dame tower falling imposed on the tower from that film https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fDEF0P_BzEQ

So beautifully restored! My husband was born and raised in Paris, so he was surrounded by the amazing architecture of the city in the 60s, 70s and 80s, and was devastated when the cathedral was burned ... it was part of his panorama for 3 decades. I still see Moochelle's face, smiling and laughing on her yacht while toasting with a glass of white wine, watching Notre Dame burn. Let us hope that the restoration is a premonition of peace and healing to come. And some Justice would be a cherry on top! Thank you for this stunning piece.

Thank you! Your husband was so lucky to live there. One of my favorite cities in the world. (along with London) I remember Big Mike's photo too. The burning seemed like a demonic ritual so no wonder she was laughing. I'm glad Notre Dame overcame that! ❤️💕

I was lucky to see Notre Dame too about 15 years ago. It was very dark inside so different from the bright renovation.

When I went the wood was dark but the light in the windows glowed and lit it up. I like the renovation better too though!

from the photos it does look beautiful and so bright, I was there in the day time, and it was dark, dingy and cold, we climbed the spiraling steps to an outer balcony where we could get close ups of the gargoyles, so it had a certain ominous feel to it.

A truly magnificent cathedral! You were so lucky to have seen it. And happy birthday to your MOM.

There was a great conspiracy theory around the burning...that Obama and Michael were somehow responsible? Michael was there toasting and watching it burn? Absolutely could be the case.

Songs are gorgeous...wonderful, perfect post for the season! 💖

I remember Big Mike was in the Seine river on a boat watching it and toasting it with champagne...I can't even describe how angry that made me. I have a map that I got off XTwitter showing all kinds of terrorist strikes on cathedrals in France...heart breaking that they want to tear down these architectural wonders. I probably took Rich to every cathedral in France, Spain, Ireland, Italy, and England. The feeling inside them is unforgettable. Thanks for visiting! ❤️💕💋

Amazing that you saw them all. There is a sense of peace and an aura of calm inside these sanctuaries - even the smallest of churches...a portal of sorts/a peaceful escape from the madness and chaos of the world, perhaps? It is painful to see the destruction of such beauty, and the same for all the ancient sites and artifacts.

Great post... ❤️
