So just after a second pass, this one Heather had so much more personal tone in presentation, the color theme’s even carried out from the opening of Red to the swift gray… good stuff sister with uplifting frequencies.

Your own personal Red Light District! 🤣

Sorry to hear about your eye condition and other injuries but really glad to hear the RLT is helping! I’m in London right now with my Mum and I think I’ll order the belt for her as she has a bunch of ailments it might help with. I also have a lamp back in SF but I haven’t used it regularly… will do once I get back.

Yes you should use it! Enjoy London! One of my fave cities in the world, right next to Paris. ❤️

Paris is much less expensive than London!! I’ve been to both cities and have the receipts to prove it!

Love them both! I lived in Ireland for 3 years, and France for 3 years and Germany for a year, so got to see a lot of Europe. So much history!

Ireland is beautiful (one of our last trips while living in Sicily), as is Germany (was there four times). Was in France twice.

In 2015 we went around the world for 7 months. Spent 38 days in France. I speak French so it's easy for me to travel there...wanted to stay but the visa situation is hard so we went to Ireland where it was easy to get in and stay. Ended up staying for 3 years. I'm 34% Irish and it felt like home.

Superb! Beware for Amsterdam Netherlands and Antwerp and Brussels in Belgium, they too have a red district but not advertised. If you take the train from Antwerp to Brussels, on your left side you will see the ladies in their windows. In Antwerp it is very close to the business district. I suppose it is just another business LOL.

You are right about the greens! They spray them in lunar costumes and then serve them on our tables. The best thing would be to eat only from your own garden, of course you need a garden that grows something, and even then you will notice that if you don't use anything, someone else has eaten it before you can. Birds, squirrels, deer and all kinds of vermin LOVE unsprayed greens too. Excellent selection!

I learned that prostitution is legal in lots of places in Europe. I think it should be. My body my choice. None of the government's business what I choose to do with it. ❤️💕 Also why arrest the prostitute and not the john???????

Heather, I've dealt with the same eye issue. It took me a long time before finding an ophthalmologist that correctly made glasses with "prism". I've found supplementing with Astaxanthin helps a lot for eye fatigue and refocusing after a long day of working on a computer. I'm *very* curious about your results with the red light therapy! Red light therapy is something I've been curious about for a while. Sounds like maybe it's time to actually try it! The biggest challenge is all the competing claims of only certain products actually work (and the cost).

Maybe instead of hanging art on the walls of my bedroom, perhaps I should just hang red lights? {grin}

Absolutely love the memes about "Witches - Doing what doctors say can't be done since the beginning of time" (Yes!!!!), chocolate, ignoring government health advice and very cute about how Amazon was created!

I had the prism issue before but surgery helped. It was still there though, just not as bad. But now it's almost gone. I still have a bit of problem with it late in the day when I"m tired but mostly it's gone...This belt is only $40 right now as it's on sale...❤️💕

Yes and Amazon gave me an extra $10 off so it ended up being only $30. Worth a try! (but as he advised: with caution to not actually damage your eyes)

I thought I'd managed to get to the point where my eye issues were gone. But with these long drives back and forth between Minnesota and South Dakota, every now and then it pops up. Eyes just too tired to maintain focus for that long.

I keep my eyes closed while under it. I wouldn't look directly into the light...GOOD LUCK! 💕

Expand full comment

Agreed! I'd avoid looking at it with open eyes. I'm tempted to put it on the top of my head and see if any improvement in "hair health" is noticed. That would be a semi safe way to test it.

Expand full comment

Might help my brain health as well.

Expand full comment

Actually that's a subtle concept: pretty much any health improvement helps your mental functioning!

Technically in the case of red light though... it's unlikely to penetrate your skull and have a direct impact on your neurons or glial cells.

By the time I got to Amazon it was back up to $49.95, but still with free shipping and a $10 coupon, so at $42.xy I decided to order one. I think I could have saved an extra $10 if I had done a free trial of Amazon Prime, but I hate having to remember to cancel free trial offers...worth ten bucks to not have to remember...I did get a message saying that anything I ordered in the next 24 hours would get sent with free shipping...so the back of my brain is now running through things that are fairly cheap and fairly heavy.

Expand full comment
author

generator? not really cheap, but kinda heavy. Might need one?

Expand full comment

Maybe I'll look at what Amazon has in generators. But we do have a Harbor Freight store in town (and a Lowes), so free shipping won't be much of an attraction unless Amazon's cheaper...but it's worth investigating. Any ideas on nutritional or therapeutic liquids? I probably won't wind up buying anything, but it'd be a shame to think of something on Sunday and say, "Of course, that's what I should have ordered..."

anything liquid is heavy, so liquid soap, aloe vera drink? otherwise I'm out of ideas...I get a lot of vitamins there but they aren't heavy...

I looked into RLT a few months ago as my daughter was looking into a noninvasive way to firm her facial muscles/dermal and subdermal layers. I have ALWAYS told her (she and my son were homeschooled, I prob told you that already 😊) to start young with her skincare routine, which she observed from ME since she was very little. I have been asked by every Derm/Plastic Surgeon/Esthetician that I’ve encountered over the years as to what “my” secret was. NO real secrets BUT I started YOUNG with using Retin-A, sunscreen, filtered water, exfoliation and a protective mineral base foundation. I know EXACTLY what I started using and WHEN. In fact, my (now deceased) MUA Alexis Vogel used to tell me to NOT wear makeup as I looked better. WHAT??? No makeup coming from a MUA??? She further explained that some of her other clients (I had personally met a few of them at her condo in Calabasas, CA) had HORRIBLE skin and should never go out in public sans makeup (I saw many pics on her computer that she shared with me as I helped edit her promo for her second line of cosmetics which came out late 2013). As you know, my entire life has been and continues to be like one giant reality show 😎.

I’m sorry - back to RLT. My daughter asked about NuFACE (many versions of it) and asked if it worked. I found mixed reviews on it. Have you tried this out before? One ULTA exec told me that it didn’t “really” work but that she could never state that as ULTA carries them online. Thoughts?

Interesting about the MUA. I've never worn make up except moisturizer because I have drier skin. And mascara because duh! No one sees me without it! 😂 I get asked all the time what I do to keep looking so young and it's just genetics. Don't know about any other devices as I've never tried anything before but I think it helps my skin too. Not surprised you homeschooled. I did too. ❤️💕❤️

I use a VOIP and they let me. You can get a free phone at Google and use it. That's what I do for companies who want a phone number and I don't want them to have it. Just google: Google Voice ... ❤️

Hmmm. I will check it out! Thanks. (Don’t know why when I put in a VOIP, Amazon rejects it…)

Expand full comment

Can’t you make up a phone number?

Expand full comment

I suppose I could guess and hope it's someOne's number... But if the VOIP number, which looks like any other number, won't take, it's clear it is checking some sort of database to see if the number goes to a phone...

Thanks for this...I'm so glad it is working for you/us. My eyesight has improved so much. I think it is cutting edge and I too love that it is so easy and affordable.

I'll add a few links that might be of interest, since I've been diving into this...

I like the fact that we are finding way to heal that are non-invasive - we are electrical beings, but we are also light beings. It only makes sense that we need the right kind of light to keep our bodies optimally functional.

From a 2021 article:

"Inside all our cells are energy factories known as mitochondria, and these tiny factories produce a molecule called adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the gas that fuels our cells.

As we age, our mitochondrial functions gradually decline. Less ATP is produced, leading to decreased cellular functions. Our retinas age incredibly rapidly and some estimates indicate ATP production by photoreceptor cells in the eye can drop up to 70 percent over a human lifespan."

From my research - the wavelength for mac degen is 670-nm deep red light between 8 AM and 9 AM. We really only need 1 1/2 minutes twice a week, but they know how distracted we can be, so they tell you to make it a daily routine of 3 minutes.

Thanks for sharing the photos and your experience with red light therapy. I looked into it myself, but was on the fence about it, there is so much to read about the dangers of LED lighting, that I was scared of it. But it seems there is a dark side and a light side to everything under the sun.

very interesting photo of the red light district, and so funny your comment on doing a search of locations before booking! HAHA.
